OnCue will sync your transcript with your video – depo or other audiovisual locally. It does not load any materials to a website. This is all done on your computer. The more powerful the computer, the faster your video will sync. You must have an active OnCue license to use ProSync.
What you need: a transcript (.txt, .docx), raw video.
How to Use ProSync
Add your transcript to OnCue using the + in the transcript tab.
Choose your transcript.

Make sure everything is correct.

Go to Tools > Sync & Edit Transcripts

Choose the transcript you want to sync and make sure the video you want to use is in the _synchedvideos folder. Select Add media segments – you can choose all of them at once.

Click on the ProSync button in the upper right.

This will bring up your payment options – Credit card or credits.

Credits are tied to a License ID. You do not have to use the License ID from your computer. This can be changed but you must have both the License ID and Activation Password to change which account it is billed to. You do not need to release your License ID to do this. This feature is for firms that want to purchase large quantities of credits that everyone can use.

Pay by credit card opens the payment screen in a new web browser.

It will automatically charge you the amount needed to finish the deposition chosen.

Note: you can view and save your invoice for the purchase.
Once purchased, you are ready to go.

You will see a progress bar. You can close the ProSync window and the syncing will continue.

The syncing will show on the bottom left of your screen.

DO NOT CLOSE your OnCue while syncing.
An OnCue .xml sync file will be created and can be found in the _transcripts folder. Your original file (.txt, .docx) will also be converted to an OnCue .xml. OnCue keeps the original file and the syncing notes just in case.

When you don't see the file syncing in the bottom left and you get no errors, your file is done and ready for designations to be created.
Note: You can add multiple transcripts for syncing. Follow the steps above for the next transcript, then add it to the queue. They will sync one after another.

Need an MDB?
Right-click on the transcript after syncing.
Choose Export > Export Transcript to MDB
In a hurry and don't have time to wait for your machine to sync?
If you can’t wait and don’t worry about uploading your materials to the web. Our favorite vendor is Synchron Video. Any vendor that can get you a Sanction *.mdb file works too. Currently, only Synchron Video produces OnCue xml files. If you receive an xml from another vendor it is not compatible with OnCue.
